Setlist apps are sold to one musician at a time
Which works fine, right up until the person holding the subscription is the person who leaves.
- The arrangements, the keys, the notes on who sings what — on a personal plan all of it belongs to the account that made it. When that person moves on, it moves with them.
- Star’s own Solo plan is $4.99 a month. Covering a group that way means several sign-ups, several cards and several renewal dates, and the group still owns none of it.
- Whoever collects the money ends up chasing it. Splitting one subscription across a choir is awkward enough that most groups skip it and photograph chord charts into a group chat instead.
- The director is usually the one who pays and the one who rebuilds the library from scratch when a member leaves.

- Use Star for four Sundays. If it does not hold up in front of a real audience, email us within five weeks of the charge and we refund the year in full — the whole invoice, not a prorated part of it, with no form to fill in and no reason to give. Where Star is not the right answer
Do the arithmetic before you buy, because we would rather you saw it here. A full workspace of 5 is $24 a month, and 5 individual Solo seats are $24.95 a month — within about a dollar of each other, and the Solo seats bill annually at $195 a year, which is cheaper again. If all your group needs is their own setlists on their own devices, buy Solo seats instead. The shared workspace earns its price on two things Solo cannot do at any number of seats: the library belongs to the group rather than to whoever created it, and you can load your own hymnals and Bible versions. Separately — if what you actually need is rostering, who is scheduled and who confirmed for next week, Planning Center Services does that and Star does not.

Is the price per person?
Yes, past the first 3. The first 3 seats cost nothing; seat 4 onward is $12 a month each, so a full workspace of 5 is $24 a month.
What if our group is bigger than 5 people?
A workspace currently holds up to 5 members and the invite after that fails. If your group is larger, get in touch before you subscribe rather than after — we would rather size it properly than have you find the limit at a rehearsal.
We sing from a hymnal that is not in any app.
That is what this plan is for. Star does not supply copyrighted lyrics — bringing your own hymnals, songs and Bible versions is the difference between the shared workspace and a personal plan, and we load the collection for you before your first rehearsal.
Who can join the workspace?
Anyone you invite by email from the workspace settings. They need a Star account, which is free, and they do not need a paid personal plan to read what you share.
Can we try it before anyone pays for anything?
Yes. Start free, build one setlist, and put it on the group’s devices this week. The first 3 seats stay free, so a small group may never pay at all. The plan starts to matter when you want the library to belong to the group rather than to you.
What if we pay and it does not work for us?
Then you should not have paid for it, and you get the money back. Use Star for four Sundays; if it did not hold up in front of a real audience, email us within five weeks of the charge and we refund the year in full — not a prorated share of it, and we do not ask you to justify it. The setlists you built stay in your workspace. No other product this site compares offers the same, checked 18 Aug 2026: ProPresenter declines refunds outright, EasyWorship prorates theirs, caps it at 90 days and voids it once media has been downloaded, and the rest publish no refund policy at all.
